August 2006 - World Cup Public Viewing at the Olympia Stadium and Theresienwiese in Munich
Some of the largest crowds gathering to watch public screenings of the football matches in the World Cup 2006 could be found in
Munich, in the Olympia Stadium and the Theresienwiese, well known as the home of the Oktoberfest.
For both venues, the job of drawing up the sound concept and providing sound reinforcement equipment was assigned to Marcel
Petras, one of the specialists of the rental company Limelight, which is based in Gilching near Munich.
For the Olympia Stadium, the sound system consisted of 36x NEXO GEO S cabinets, supplemented by 12x GEO T4805 and 4x T2815
downfill cabinets. In the Theresienwiese, an excellent job was done with 18x GEO T4805s, 3x GEO T2815s and 8x GEO CD18s. All
systems were powered by CAMCO's VORTEX 6 and VORTEX-200V amps and were controlled by NEXO's NX242 TD controllers.
