October 2004 - One of Australia's unique exports, The Ten Tenors, is about to start a series of dates in Germany, with rental
company Sound Linear GmbH providing a CAMCO-powered NEXO GEO S rig.
The classically-trained singers have high production values, and a reputation for superb sound engineering. This is their second
visit to Germany, and, once again, the Paderborn-based audio rental company Sound Linear GmbH is providing the sound. The main
system is made up of two hangs of 8x GEO S cabinets, with 6x CD12 sub bass units. NEXO PS8 speakers are used for near-fill, and
the systems are all powered by CAMCO Vortex 6 amplifiers.
Front-of-house man Peter 'Stoy' Stoynich had his first experience of the NEXO GEO S system working with the Ten Tenors. ''When I
took over the gig as the engineer, I was excited to learn that their PA company in Germany [Sound Linear] was going to use NEXO's
GEO S rig. I had heard many good things about it, and, when I heard it, I wasn't disappointed. We used the system in almost all
applications from open air shows to concert halls and arenas. The PA performs exceptionally well in all situations. The Tenors'
show consists of quite a variety of music from the quietest of arias to the extremes of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody and the GEO box
handles all the styles without any problems. It is a pleasure to mix on this system.''
