March 2005 - Arguably one of the best rock 'n' roll bands in the world, certainly one of the most hard-working, Garbage is on the
road again with the 2005 world tour. And they are taking CAMCO with them, to power the NEXO system being supplied by Thunder
Audio.
Front-of-house engineer Tom Abraham has specified a NEXO GEO T tangent-array sound reinforcement system, identical to the one he
toured with Marilyn Manson last year. The band is carrying 24x GEO T4805 full-range modules, with 4x T2815 downfill cabinets;
processing is NX241 digital controllers, and all amplification is CAMCO Vortex Series. The show is being mixed on Digico's new D1
digital console, with Clay Hutson mixing monitors on a Digico D5.
Tom says that, on this tour, ''everything is tiny, including the amplifiers. We need just two amp racks a side. These days,
trucking is expensive so the secret advantage of GEO T and CAMCO Vortex really kicks in when the production manager realises he
can put his entire audio package and backline in a single truck.''
