News MAJOR US RENTAL COMPANIES BUY INTO CAMCO
April 2005 - Two leading regional sound rental companies in the USA have purchased substantial inventories of CAMCO Vortex amplifiers along with NEXO GEO T systems.

Logic Systems Sound and Lighting Inc., of St. Louis, MO, has invested in a NEXO GEO-T large-format tangent array system for rental inventory. The packaged system includes T4805 and T2815 line array elements, CD-18 cardioid sub-bass modules, and CAMCO Vortex series amplifiers. In addition, the system includes the latest versions of the NEXO NX-242 digital system controllers, including the EtherSound and amplifier control networking cards.

''The technology behind the GEO speaker system is clearly on the cutting edge of not only line array technology, but speaker system and transducer technology,'' says Logic President Chip Self. ''The close coupling of the NX-242 system controllers and CAMCO amplifiers provided the best price to power / weight / efficiency / control / protection ratios of any system we evaluated. The added flexibility of Ethernet control for processing and amplification provides for limitless control, access, protection, and monitoring opportunities.''

Florida PA rental company E-Tech Systems Inc. has just taken delivery of one of the largest GEO T systems in north America: 36x GEO T compact full-range cabinets, with 12x CD18 sub-bass units and an additional 8x Alpha S2 bass bins. To manage the system, E-Tech has a total of 9x NEXO NX242 Digital Tdcontrollers. Power will be provided by 29x Vortex 6 amplifiers from CAMCO.

E-Tech Systems is jointly owned by Pat Clarke, Andy Meyer and Eric Celeiro, who started their operation seven years ago, in Tampa, FL. Celeiro is the front-of-house engineer and tour manager for Gavin DeGraw, while Andy Meyer has years of experience at front-of-house. Since taking delivery of the new system, E-Tech has used the GEO T for live music events featuring Neil Sedaka, The Roots, DeGraw and Sevendust, to name just a few. The system has also appeared several times at Busch Gardens in Tampa, where, according to Pat Clarke, ''they just rave over it, they think it's just incredible. We've done a lot of country shows with the system and the reaction has been nothing but positive.''
