August 2005 - The Chantier des Francofolies, perhaps the most technologically advanced training centre for sound engineers and
musicians in France, has been equipped with a NEXO GEO S tangent array system, powered by CAMCO, and operated entirely over an
Ethersoundc network. This is the first network-based installation of its kind to be completed in France.
The installation has been completed by Melpomen, who chose Vortex 6 for the main PA and TECTON for the monitor system in the
Francofolies main performance space. Melpomen's Thierry Trenchant says, ''the whole system is driven by a single PC. Originally,
our client wanted us to provide an analogue system, but we believed that a digital system would be the perfect match for such an
installation. The Ethersound network solution fulfilled every aspect of their needs, the setting of the whole system took us only
3 days and, on top of this, it was more competitive in terms of budget.''
