November 2005 - Reaching the end of its successful 11 month run in Europe, 'ONE NIGHT OF QUEEN' is the most authentic and
impressive QUEEN tribute show ever to stage the greatest hits of the legendary rock band.
The star of this spectacular show is Gary Mullen, winner of the British TV talent show ''Stars in their Eyes''. With the music
from the Scottish band ''THE WORKS'', the energy generated on stage takes the audience back to the time when the charismatic
Freddie Mercury and Queen were in their heyday.
The sound for the QUEEN show is the responsibility of SOUND LINEAR GmbH. To meet the particular challenges of this musical,
managing director Kalle Hogrefe selected the NEXO GEO T System in combination with CAMCO VORTEX amplifiers. The entire system is
controlled via Ethernet by the CAMCO WinCai2004 multithreading remote control software, making it possible to configure and
monitor the whole set-up on a laptop from the FOH position.
On each side of the stage, there are 3x NEXO GEO T4805s and GEO T2815s, with two CD18's per side as subs. The PA is driven by 6x
CAMCO VORTEX 6s and the VORTEX 200V for the subs. More VORTEX units are usesd for the NEXO PS10 near-fills and the NEXO PS15
monitors.
Kalle Hogrefe, managing director of SOUND LINEAR, comments that, ''the show is fantastic - the equipment is fantastic.
Unbelievably short PA set-up times, the sound comes across loud and clear - just the way we'd imagined. A smaller transport
volume for such a sound result just isn't possible. For us, CAMCO and NEXO was definitely the best choice we could have
made.''
