January 2006 - Ticket prices hit record levels as the residents of Hong Kong paid up to $4000 for a last chance to see the great
tenor Luciano Pavarotti at the Hong Kong Conference and Exhibition Centre, on his Farewell Tour of the world.
Sound reinforcement for the show was a NEXO GEO T system, supplemented by NEXO Alpha, powered by CAMCO Vortex 6 and DX48s, as
requested by Pavarotti's long-time front-of-house engineer John Pellowe.
Also in Hong Kong, Sandy Lam played 4 consecutive nights for 20,000 people during her 20th anniversary tour, using the largest
NEXO GEO T system ever assembled in China.
The show was played in the round. Eight arrays of GEO T were flown, each comprising 6x GEO T4805s plus 3x T2815s. Over the square
stage, this meant 2 arrays for each of the four sides of the room. The GEO Ts and CD18 subbass units were driven by 32x CAMCO V6
amplifiers. Front fill and stage monitoring was provided by 40x PS15
