May 2006 - Once the vocalist of the British rock group The Smiths, Morrissey has had a successful solo career since the late
Eighties. His current tour of Europe is carrying a full GEO T arena system provided by SSE Audio Group.
Seen here at London's Alexandra Palace, the system at its biggest uses 15-cabinet left and right arrays, with a central cluster,
and up to 18x CD18s. CAMCO Vortex 6 are being used to power the GEO T cabinets, and Vortex 4s for the CD18 subbass units.
FOH engineer Dave 'Milky' Millward first used the NEXO GEO T and CAMCO combination for Morrissey in 2003. ''We kept coming across
it at all the festivals in that summer, so for our 2004 tour, which had a number of arena dates at the end of it, we decided to
use it. We've been very happy with it. It is a very consistent system, I like the clarity, and I'm still amazed at the size of
the GEO T box compared to what comes out of it.''
Morrissey goes on to headline at some big festivals this summer, including the Rock Am Ring in Germany, Roskilde in Denmark, and
the V Festivals in the UK, another SSE client which will feature GEO T on its main stages.
